Product Review: Burt’s Bees Replenishing Lip Balm

I received the Burt’s Bee Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil in a Holiday kit. It has since become a staple in my everyday life and even a holy grail product.

I own other chapsticks from Burt’s Bees but this “replenishing” line feels more hydrating when you wear it.

This chapstick serves multiple purposes for me. I wear it on its own to hydrate my lips or as a lip base (or primer). When it is worn on its own, it has a satiny sheen that is nearly unnoticeable to the eye. When my lips crack (and they do from the harsh Canadian winter), the moisturising properties speed up the healing time and I find it lessens the irritation.

I particularly like to wear this as a base when using matte lip pencils or crayons because they can be drying, but do not feel drying when this is applied as a “primer”.

The versatility of this product is what makes it amazing as well as how long a tube lasts. Here I am nine months later, still on the same tube from Christmas.

Although I’m dreading the day I run out it’ll be easily replaceable for $5 at any drugstore.
