I love Tarte, but occasionally there’s a bad egg in the bunch. I purchased this product with high hopes and was quickly disappointed.
I was looking for a product that wouldn’t break me out. I was tired of the time-consuming task of putting on liquid foundation to go to the store if I had a bad break out. I use the Amazonian Clay Foundation daily without issue so surely the Amazonian Clay BB tinted moisturiser will be reliable.
As I started using this product, I quickly noticed within a week tiny bumps everywhere on my face. It wasn’t like acne, just little bumps pinhead sized bumps creating textures all around my face.
It wasn’t until after I figured out that the BB Moisturizer was causing this strange break out (It was the only new product I had introduced at the time). I then started to read product reviews and it seemed like this was a common occurrence with the Tinted Moisturizer.
As for the shade range, there are only four shades to select from. There’s a chance that if you select a shade it will be slightly off your natural tone. For instance, I have the lightest shade in Ivory and it pulls yellow on me.
This product retail for $47 from Sephora. The packaging is just a simple squeeze tube.
Personally, for the price and the hassle, this product is not worth a repurchase
