Product Review: Kate Somerville EradiKate

At first, I didn’t like this product but that was mostly learning how to use it with different types of acne. I must say, I have quickly become addicted to the Kate Somerville EradiKate and can say it is a HOLY GRAIL skin care item.

I first say this in a Chloe Morello skin care video. When Christmas time came around I was able to purchase this thanks to a gift card my boyfriend gave me.

In a spin of irony, my skin was clear for a couple weeks so I had to wait until I was broken out to try this.

This product retails for $26 CAD through the Sephora Website. The product is packaged in a 30ml bottle filled with a pink powder content. Upon the label, it reads ” Do not shake”. When you open the jar there is a foul odour. The product is exacted from the bottle with a Q-tip.

After doing some research the contents of this bottle is sulphur. A natural product that has historically been used to treat acne and mild blemishes.

With blemishes, I found this product would minimise the amount the blemish would rise out of the skin.

With acne, it was best to lance a pimple and then apply the product directly to the affected area. There would be some mild burning but only for a few seconds.

With multiple uses on the affected area I noticed some mild dryness, but nothing as bad as benzoyl peroxide. Also, this product does not stain your clothes, unlike benzoyl peroxide.

This product is great and I highly recommend it as a night spot treatment. I give it two thumbs up.
