When I bought this product I was excited. I don’t have a lot of lip liners and wanted to play around with a product I wasn’t familiar with.
I had mixed feelings on the Estee Edit line as it was hit and miss when it came to product performance. However its hard to pass up a line that is curated for nude lips of all skin tones.
The Estee Edit Lip Contour Lip Liner sells for $24.00 CAD on the Sephora Website. It comes in a 0.0009 oz twist up pen.
This item is very lightweight to the touch. Almost like a feather.
My first impressions when etching out my lips was that this product wasn’t very pigmented. So this isn’t a good pick for those who like to overline their lips.
When I was drawing my lips I found the lip liner to tug on the skin rather than go on in a buttery fashion. This reminded me of when your sketching on a notepad during a phone call. Bit by bit I would eventually get the product on lips.
I found the product somewhat wasteful. To achieve a flawless outline you have to go back re-line your lips over and over again.
I love Estee Lauder and was disappointed with the Estee Edit Lip Contour Lip Liner. For the price point, I want a product that won’t cause me a hassle.
For what it’s worth, you have to take extra care to ensure that the liner is performing well. The product tugs at your lips and it isn’t that pigmented.
I don’t know if that’s because Estee Lauder is targeted towards a mature demographic that want muted lips. Thus, the manufacturers used the same formula or not. But I thought the point of Estee Edit was for the younger demographic. Just my thoughts.
There are numerous other lip liners that perform remarkably better that are sold at the fraction of the price.
