Microsoft is updating the Dev Channel today with a new version 21313. Insiders can access it through the Windows Update service, but this will not work for ARM64 users. Version 21313 will not be available for ARM64 devices due to application compatibility issues. Here are the changes.

What’s new in Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21313

Extension of news and interests to other languages and markets

Microsoft is expanding the News and Pinterest taskbar experience to more languages and international markets. Previously, this experience was only available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and India. This means news, weather, sports and financial updates are displayed based on your location anywhere in the world!

News and Pinterest automatically detects your language and localization and provides a localized experience made up of content from local publishers and data providers.

The new Microsoft Edge will replace Microsoft Edge Legacy.

With the release of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21313, Microsoft Edge Legacy will be replaced by the new Microsoft Edge. This will also be the case with the release of Windows 10 Insider Preview.

And if you want to try out the next Microsoft Edge features, you can join the Microsoft Edge Insider program. You can get preview versions of applications in the Canary, Dev or Beta channel of Microsoft Edge on the Microsoft Edge Insider website.

Modernization of the design of the EMI Candidate Windows.

The IME (Input Method Editor) is fundamental to the input of East Asian languages and uses a so-called candidate window to enable the user to enter characters efficiently. With the recent release of Windows 10, we have started introducing new versions of our IMEs. Here are some suggestions for the new candidate window:

  • Modern design – more in line with the principles of fluid design, including acrylic backgrounds, visual support for new choices and support for darker themes.
  • Optimized font size – Microsoft has adjusted the font size in the candidate window user interface to minimize intrusion and ensure visibility.
  • Quick access to emoji – To improve ease of discovery, Microsoft is adding direct access to the emoji panel via a button in the UI Candidate window. It should be noted that this project is still in progress. The composition bar will close after it is clicked.
  • Improved performance – Data entry is at the heart of how you interact with your PC, and Microsoft wants to make sure you get the best possible experience when making these changes.

This functionality will initially be distributed to a subset of insiders in the Dev channel to help the organization quickly identify issues that may affect performance and reliability. Rest assured, these measures will be gradually extended to all insiders in the Dev channel. If you have any comments on these changes, please submit them in the comment center under Input and Speech > Text Input.

Changes and improvements

  • Based on the comments, and recognizing that Dev Channel versions are not appropriate for a particular version of Windows 10, we have changed the name of the version displayed to Dev.
  • We have received comments that it is not clear how to disable messages and interests if you like them. To resolve this issue, we have changed the “Hidden” option in the taskbar context menu to “Disabled” to make this feature clearer.
  • Based on the comments received, we have made some minor changes to the launch animation of the new application to make it faster and slightly smoother.
  • An improvement to the candidate panel on the touch keyboard was announced last week, with up to 5 candidates displayed and centered above the keyboard.
  • The new language selection announced in September is now applied to all Dev Insiders. Press the Windows plus H key if you want to try it in one of the supported languages.
  • The change to pin items in our new clipboard history design (in the emoji selection) now applies to all Insiders in the Dev channel.
  • We’ve made a few more updates to our comment-based emoji search feature, including programming that now returns 3 emoji technologists and the RIP that now returns basic emojis. We have also updated the Russian search feature so that emoji with the letter e in the keywords can now be found with the letter e. Please keep accepting comments!
  • We are in the process of removing the ability to copy and paste a screenshot directly into a folder in File Explorer due to an issue discovered through comments from Windows Insiders. We hope to re-enable this feature in a future update after this issue is resolved. (This change was also communicated to Windows Insiders in the beta chain as part of the recent Windows Feature Experience Pack update).
  • As part of the ongoing work on iconography, a new design for the narrator’s icon is proposed in this corpus.

Ключ : [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftIdentityStoreLoadParameters{B16898C6-A148-4967-9171-64D755DA8520}]

Ценность: “Enabled”=dword:00000001

  • Restart the PC with the “Keep My Files” option and then return to the previous state. The Delete All option works as expected. We thank you for your patience while we work on solving this problem.
  • We are following up on reports that the update process is interrupted for a long time when trying to install a new version.
  • We are investigating a problem that affects the reliability of Start and other modern applications running in recent development flights. When this problem occurs, the Start menu presentation may be reset.
  • Live preview of pinned pages is not yet enabled for all insiders, so you may see a gray window when you hover over the thumbnail in the taskbar. We are still working on the final details.
