Trains are much safer and more comfortable than road transport, airliners or cruises.
But what if you want to travel long distances with a minimum travel time, then regular trains are subject to speed limits.
To solve this problem, the Japanese engineer Hideo Shima, with the support of Shinji Sogo, developed the first high-speed line, Tokaido Shinkansen, which had to connect Tokyo and Shin-Osaka using Shinkansen 0-series rails.
Since then, the speed of this type of railway equipment has increased dramatically.
But can you ask , how fast does the high-speed train go?.
The average speed of a high-speed train is approximately 250 km/h (155 mph), corresponding to thequalification of high-speed train(HSR), and an average maximum speed of more than 200 km/h is required along the corridor.
But thanks to advanced technological developments, some TGVs are extremely fast. With Maglev’s latest invention, we expect only one improvement.

10. ETR 400 (Frecciarossa 1000)
- Maximum speed: 300 km/h (186.4 mph)
Bombardier’s latest ZEFIRO high-speed train is the Frecciarossa 1000, also known as the V300ZEFIRO or ETR 1000.
With its exotic look, design, luxury and natural speed, this improved version of the Frecciarossa ETR 500 is a super sports car not inferior to any other conventional train.
The Italian railway company Trenitalia ordered 50 trains of the type Frecciarossa 1000 in 2010.
In collaboration with AnsaldoBreda, a subsidiary of the Finmeccanica Group, Bombardier has built high-speed rail systems in Italy.
The designer of the train is the Bertone Group (which also designs Lamborghini’s and other cars).
In terms of technical characteristics, it is equipped with 16 traction motors allowing an acceleration of 0.7 m/s2.
The ETR 400 can be used with a maximum speed of 360 km/h (220 mph), but with a commercial speed of 300 km/h (190 mph).

The 22nd. On 30 June 2007, Siemens launched Class 103 services through the public railway company RENFE AVE. These services are operated between Madrid and a temporary terminal on the high-speed line to Barcelona, near Tarragona, Spain.
The Velaro E resembles almost exactly the ICE 3 (developed by the same manufacturer Siemens), a product developed in Germany by several companies.
Due to licensing problems, such as with the fourth generation Eurostar e320, Siemens did not produce too many ICE 3 components and completed the high-speed platform in Velaro.
The Velaro E has also been overhauled to meet the demand for higher speed and RENFE maximum operating speed in the traction department.
This allows the AVE Class 103 to run at 350 km/h, making it one of the fastest trains in the world.
However, the maximum operating speed is limited to 310 km/h for the maximum level 1 ETCS line, which has been approved by the Spanish authorities since 2011.

Euroduplex is Alstom’s third generation of high-speed trains for the TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse).
The train is operated by the SNCF and is designed and produced by the railway company Alstom.

The weight is much lower and the aerodynamics have improved considerably.
In December 2011, the train was put into service and was able to carry 1020 passengers at a time.
It connects the French, Swiss, German and Luxembourg high-speed railways.
7. Series E5 Shinkansen Hayabusa

The East Japan Railway Company operates one of the fastest rail services in Japan.
The Shinkansen is a high-speed network in Japan, commonly known as the Bullet Train.
The fifth. The train was put into service in March 2011. It covers a distance of 444.28 miles from Tokyo to Aomori at a high speed of 198.8 miles per hour, which takes exactly 2 hours and 56 minutes.
The Shinkansen H5, E6 and E5 series are Japan’s two newest and fastest high-speed trains.

In the French railway fleet, the TGV POS Grande Vitesse is a pearl of the high-speed rail network owned and operated by SNCF.
Rail Europe, an extensive network stretching from the north and east of the continent to the Mediterranean Sea, is itself part of the ever-expanding TGV service.
SCNF TGV POS is one of the youngest railways in France. The company was founded in the late 1970s to develop long-distance high-speed trains and is known for its Paris-Est-France-South Germany (POS) line.
When the TGV began to develop in neighbouring countries, trains such as the POS were used to cover long distances at high speed.
The V150, a pump version of the POS, has been specially developed to break the speed record of 574.8 km/h (357.2 mph) in 2017.

The Talgo 350 is the fifth fastest train in the world with 46 stations in Spain and is commonly known as El Pato (duck in Spanish).
The T350 drives at 350 km/h, but reached a top speed of 365 km/h during the test.
The Madrid-Zaragoza-Lleida line of the Madrid-Barcelona high-speed line in Spain was commissioned in 2005 and was originally designed as a class 10 RENFE AVE line.
Produced by Patentes Talgo (Tren Articulado Ligero Goicoechea Oriol) in collaboration with Bombardier Transportation.
The train is equipped with a natural tilting system and consists of 2 wagons of 12 wagons.
The designers had to specially design the front part to avoid any aerodynamic resistance.

The Automotrice Grande Vitesse (AGV) was designed and developed by Alstom as an advanced high-speed train with a maximum speed of 360 km/h – the fastest train in the world.
It is considered to be the most economical and environmentally friendly train in the world, with 98% recyclable parts and 15% reduction in lifecycle costs and energy.
Alstom presented this train for the first time in Berlin, Germany at InnoTrans 2008.
The TER is the most energy-efficient railway complying with the Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI).
It is the first train design in the world to combine the architecture of articulated carriages with a distributed traction system and a PMM.
- Maximum speed: 380 km/h (236.1 mph)
The CRH 380A is the second fastest porcelain high-speed train in the world.
This multi-block electric train can reach a maximum speed of 236.12 km/h in commercial traffic. However, during the first tests it exceeded a record speed of 258.58 miles per hour.
In October 2010, a Chinese train with the CRH 380A ran regularly from Shanghai to Nanjing.
This train is produced by the locomotive and rolling stock of CSR Qingdao Sifang.
The CRH 380A’s aluminium alloy is lightweight and has a fish head and aerodynamic design on the front.
This remarkable traction structure could reduce aerodynamic resistance. The HarmonyCRH 380A cars are also free of vibrations and noise.
The cabin seats 494 passengers and is equipped with features such as an electronic screen, a reading light, an electrical connection and a VIP area for visitors near the driver’s seat.

The Fuxing Hao is designed and built by the Chinese company CRRC, in collaboration with China Railway, as a new family of high-speed trains.
This local high-speed train is faster than the Japanese Shinkansen.
Fuxing can sail from Beijing South Station to Shanghai in just four hours with increased reliability and operational efficiency.
The aerodynamic design reduces drag and speeds up undercarriage running, reducing running costs through fuel efficiency.
The CR400AF has an average speed of 350 km/h and a maximum speed of 400 km/h.

The Shanghai Maglev is the fastest train in the world, with a speed of 267.8 mph.
The Shanghai Maglev Transport Development Co. operates this service.
MagLev is the acronym for Magnetic Levitation, a method of levitating an object using only magnetic fields.
The magnetic force resists the attraction of the earth (technically suspended in the air).
The Shanghai Maglev has no wheels and floats between the train and the rail on magnetic ground.
This electromagnetic shock allows the maglev train to move across the track with powerful magnets, because there is no contact with the train. In just 4 minutes, the Shanghai Maglev was able to reach its maximum speed.
German companies built the Shanghai Maglev Siemens and ThyssenKrupp.
The Shanghai Maglev Utility started her work on the 1st. January 2004.
It operates between Pudong International Airport and the suburbs of Shanghai’s Long Yang Road.
The Shanghai Maglev train has a total capacity of 574 passengers.
For the entire distance up to 32.19 km (20 miles), the Shanghai Maglev takes just 7 minutes and 20 seconds.
The technology has improved exponentially since the invention of the first steam engine by the great Thomas Savery and the invention of the diesel engine by Rudolf Diesel.
